Plaza Libertad

The Plaza Libertad is as historic as it is impressive since it was home to multiple activities that, for every visitor, will take you back to the colonial era of the fifteenth century.

National palace

The National Palace of El Salvador is located in the historic center of the capital city of El Salvador. It is a two-storey building, in a predominantly neoclassical style, although it has some Renaissance and, to a lesser extent, Gothic decorations It was originally built to house the three organs of power of the Salvadoran State and their respective dependent offices. Over time, the building became small compared to its original functions and each body abandoned it, the last to be withdrawn being the Legislative Assembly in the 1970s

Plaza Morazán

Plaza Morazán

Morazán Square, in the historic center of San Salvador, is a symbolic space honoring General Francisco Morazán, leader of the Central American Union. At its core stands an equestrian statue surrounded by gardens and benches that invite visitors to relax. Historic landmarks, like the National Theater and National Library, frame the square, adding to its cultural significance.

The National Theater of El Salvador, inaugurated in 1917, is the oldest theater in Central America and a cultural icon of the country. Built in the French Renaissance style with Rococo and Art Nouveau details, its Great María de Baratta Hall stands out for its decorated dome and excellent acoustics. It is a key venue for artistic and cultural events.

EL CALVARIO CHURCH

One of El Salvador's oldest churches, built in 1660 by order of Bishop Fray Payo Rivera, was meant to prepare for Lent and celebrate Holy Week. The original structure was destroyed by an earthquake in 1854, and a second wooden and sheet-metal version was lost to fire in 1908.

Rosario church : The Church of the Rosary is a Catholic building located on the east side of Plaza Libertad, in the historic center of the capital city of San Salvador, El Salvador. It has a modern architectural design that broke with the usual canons of religious construction in the city, that is, the Latin and Greek cross typeOn the site of the Rosary Church, there was the parish church of San Salvador and then, when the diocese of San Salvador was erected, the original Metropolitan Cathedral.

Monument to the Central American hero Francisco Morazán, which contains high reliefs of battles led by the caudillo, and figures representing the five nations that formed the Federal Republic of Central America. This was the first monument in the history of the Salvadoran capital
